Cortina Systems appoints UR Group as its new pan-European representative

UR Group has been appointed Cortina Systems' pan-European representative as of January 1st, 2008. Cortina Systems, a datacom & telecom specialist whose activities are complementary to UR Group's, has made a shift in its sales support strategy for all territories in Europe and the company has chosen UR Holdings to represent Cortina’s product portfolio in its entirety.

Cortina, a Rising Star in Deloitte & Touche USA LLP’s Technology Fast 50 program for Silicon Valley, is a leading supplier of intelligent communication solutions through continuous innovations in advanced port processing and connectivity. Its solutions address customers’ performance, density and flexibility needs and they enable faster time-to-market, longer time-in-market and increased revenue opportunities.

This appointment will allow UR Group to expand on its current activity in the communications market, penetrate the data communications market and move into non-traditional areas, which will help better serve its existing accounts. UR Group staff will travel to Nevada within the next few weeks for a complete training session.
