UR Group announced the addition to its portfolio of an additional module delivering 1500W which takes up only five slots in the iMP chassis, leaving two free slots for additional or unforeseen power requirements. Part of the popular Emerson Power Network iMP family of digitally controlled AC/DC power supplies, this module is offered in the UK by UR Group.
The products are configured in the UK with turnaround a mere 48 hours or less for one-off orders, or just five working days for multiple consignments. UR has also increased stock profile and ramped up capacity in the configuration area to meet extra market demand. The Astec iMP family combines sophisticated digital management capabilities with a fully modular architecture. Ideal applications include instrumentation, test equipment, laboratory equipment, medical equipment, telecoms, data storage, industrial controls and production/process equipment.
UR can provide customers with tailored single-, dual- or triple-output modules in power ratings ranging from 600W to 1500W - up from a previous maximum of 750W. Modules from this range can be configured in a selection of four customisable cases accepting input voltages from 85VAC to 264VAC or 120VAC to 350VAC. Cases can accommodate up to seven individual modules with a choice of outputs ranging from 2VDC to 60VDC. Digital control functionalities allow for the programming and management of output voltage, output sequencing, protection thresholds and other key functions via the I2C bus.
Stuart Lester, Power Solutions Director for UR in the UK, commented: "The next-generation iMP modular technology from Astec provides further peace of mind to customers looking for the rapid delivery of fully tailored, digitally controlled AC/DC solutions. Our customers have come to rely on UR's ability to provide application-specific solutions based on Astec's modular power supply technologies."
