UR Group will market NeoPhotonics products in France, Benelux and Sweden

The distribution agreement between UR Group and NeoPhotonics has been expanded to include France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxemburg and Sweden.

With this agreement UR Group is in a strong position to market a comprehensive line-up of both active and passive optical components for every network market segment: FTTH/Access, datacom, storage area networks, metro and long haul networks.

UR Group's expanded product portfolio now includes: planar lightwave, MEMS Passive, FTTH and optical modules, as well as a complete range of complementary optical subassemblies. UR Group's expertise in the optical market makes the company an ideal partner for NeoPhotonics, the second-ranked firm in Deloitte's "Technology Fast 50" listing for Silicon Valley.

Joe Matano, Managing Director of UR Group, said: "This clearly shows how much potential there is in the discrete optical components sector across Europe. We always expected to see a ramp up quickly however the expansion of our agreement is clearly a vote of confidence from NeoPhotonics and a testimony to the success of our alliance."
