EMI protected power supplies have integrated protective circuitry and are suitable for global deployment

Two new single output power supplies from Ultimate Renaissance combine active power factor correction with integrated remote sense, power fail and remote inhibit functions. Delivering total power of between 80W and 130W, the new Astec LPS125/28 supplies have a built-in EMI filter and comply with IEC EN61000-3-2 specifications.

Suitable for a wide range of applications including industrial and telecom designs, the new LPS125/28 power supplies feature single wire current sharing for N+1 redundant operation, overvoltage protection up to 35% above nominal output, and overload protection up to 135% above peak. Output voltage for the LPS125 is rated at 24V, while the LPS128 is rated at 48V.

Additional features of the new supplies include a 5V standby output and a 12V fan output. Input voltage range is from 85VAC to 264VAC or 120VDC to 300VDC, making the supplies ideal for applications designed for worldwide deployment. Full load efficiency for the new parts is rated at 80%. Maximum inrush current is 40A and output ripple is down to 240mV.

Typical power factor is 0.99 and leakage current is 0.5A at 50/60Hz with a 264VAC input. Supplied in a 127.0 ´ 76.2 ´ 32.8mm housing, the new power supplies have an operating temperature range between 0°C and 50°C and MTBF in excess of 550,000 hours at full load and 25°C ambient conditions.
