First high power, plug top power supply features worldwide operation

Ultimate Renaissance has introduced its first high power, plug top power supply, the 30W rated TR30R family. With a universal input capability, the family will save equipment manufacturers from having to offer multiple power supply options with their products in different countries. This will enable them to cut inventory levels, simplify order processing and reduce costs.

The TR30R adaptors, which have an input range from 90VAC to 264VAC, can be equipped with up to four interchangeable AC input sockets that make them suitable for worldwide operation. Customers can differentiate their products further by choosing from a range of colours. As well as the standard blue housing, the TR30R is available in orange, grey, red and purple.

The new adaptors have a typical efficiency of 75%, while conductive EMI meets CISPR/FCC class B specifications. DC output voltage options range from 5V to 24V depending on the model chosen. All devices in the range feature continuous short circuit protection to ensure high levels of safety. Output ripple and noise is down to 1%.

Line regulation for the new parts is down to ±1%, while load regulation is ±6%, ±3%, or ±2% depending on specific model. Maximum inrush current is rated at 50A at 264VAC. Adaptor dimensions are 108 x 58 x 34mm, while operating temperature ranges from 0?C to 40?C. The TR30R adaptors weigh only 283g.
