Inverters with proven high MTBF arrive in UK

Ultimate Renaissance (UR) has introduced a new range of inverters for nominal 48VDC and 367VDC operation, which have very high MTBF in the field, giving users maximum assurance of reliability. The 1.5KVA units have already established MTBF above 900,000 hours per module throughout the entire installed base.

The TDI LCE Series inverters are designed for easy, error-free operation, including an interlocking cam actuated handle that turns power off before removal and power on after insertion for glitch free hot swapping. Total harmonic distortion is below 1% while providing a regulated true sine wave, contributing to the high MTBF as well as enhancing performance in a wide range of applications.

The units are capable of meeting high short-term power requirements, including transient surge currents up to 38A and up to 4.0KVA motor starting power for 10 seconds. They are easily paralleled for scalability up to 36KVA in single phase applications or 20KVA per phase in three-phase. Physically, the LCE series’ modular shelf mount design is suitable for 19” rack systems, measures 13.34cm x 13.34cm x 39.37cm, and weighs 5.44kg. All units carry UL, CSA and CE safety approvals, permitting use in major markets world-wide.

Further features include an operating ambient temperature range from -20°C to +55°C, input undervoltage and overvoltage protection, and output overload and short circuit protection. Regulation is below 2%, with frequency stability better than 0.1% for the AC output. Standard output voltage options are 120V/60 Hz or 230V/50 Hz, with custom outputs available to special order. Custom input voltages are also available.
