UR Group has signed a new agreement with Transistor Devices, Inc (TDI), the US-based power supply systems manufacturer, which consolidates UR's position as a supplier of TDI products in all major European markets. The agreement grants an extension to UR Group's franchise in a number of countries including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Israel, Spain, Portugal, as well as the Nordic region.
UR Group supplies the full range of TDI products, whether 'off the shelf' or as part of a complete custom solution, for a wide range of applications including defence and aerospace, where reliability is paramount. In order to ensure optimum reliability, TDI employs an industry-leading process of exhaustive product testing, including Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) on each and every unit, prior to shipment. The company also runs a rigorous product qualification process using techniques such as Design Verification Testing, Design Validation Testing, Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) and Highly Abusive Electrical Testing (HAET). Subsequent to design release, TDI also monitors equipment in the field.
"We are delighted that our close partnership with TDI has been strengthened through our new agreement," said Joe Matano, Managing Director of UR Group Ltd in the UK. "The competitiveness of global markets means that product designers need to reduce the time to market of products that will work first time on delivery and operate reliably for as long as possible. That's exactly what TDI and UR Group enable their customers to do." |
